Well, the seventh FCBD has come and gone. With the economy in a state of recession, I know comics are a luxury item for many of you and they to justify purchasing with rising costs of essentials. We appreciate your continued patronage and support of every dollar you are gracious enough to spend here. With out YOU we can`t exist.

At this point there is a lot speculation where the comic industry will be in the next ten years. Some feel it will be totally an online medium and the paper comic will cease to exist. Call me old fashioned but, I truly hope these pundits are wrong. How can you get the same satisfaction from a screen as actually holding the book in your hand. Time will tell and we will hopefully be here to prove them wrong. That all being said, we all had a GREAT time handing out free comics, meeting new people, seeing our regulars and young future readers. Our industry depends on the next generation of comic fans and every year at FCBD we see some hope in the new batch of young people that turn out for this event. Special BIG thanks go out to Collin Fogel and M. Zachary Sherman for taking time out from their busy schedules to meet, sign and chat with the fans. We hope big things in the future for both of these talented people. Maybe even a collaboration between them! If you are not acquainted with their work, please ask and we will introduce you to their very fine books.
