Lanterns Teaser Theory: Could Laura Linney Be Playing Carol Ferris?

Not only did we get a new official teaser for Chris Mundy (True Detective: Night Country), Damon Lindelof (Watchmen), and Tom King's (Supergirl) Aaron Pierre and Kyle Chandler-starring Lanterns earlier today, we also learned that Laura Linney had joined the cast in an undisclosed role. We can understand why the announcement needed to come out first, since Linney's character is pretty prominent toward the end of the preview. We hear John (Pierre) say to someone, "I was raised fearless, and I'll do this better than he's ever done it before," and then see that it's Linney he's speaking to. It seems clear that we're picking things up mid-conversation. "Then go and get it, John Stewart," Linney's character responds. With nothing more than that to go on, we're putting it out there: Linney's playing Carol Ferris.
